Do you offer mobile detailing?

No — our paint correction, ceramic coating, machine polishing and PPF work is carried out at our safe, secure studio on Lilford Street in Warrington, where we control lighting, dust and the working environment.

Which service do I need — ceramic coating, PPF, paint correction or machine polishing?

For stone-chip protection, choose PPF. For gloss, easier washing and chemical resistance, choose ceramic coating. For removing swirls and scratches, choose paint correction (multi-stage) or a 1-stage machine polish for light enhancement. Many cars get correction first, then coating or film.

Do you work on all car makes and models?

Yes — from modest daily drivers to million-pound exotics. We regularly work on BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Range Rover, Porsche, Tesla and many more, as well as EVs, SUVs, classics and black or matte finishes.

Ceramic Coating questions

How long does ceramic coating last?

It depends on the coating tier, how the car is used and how it is washed. A professionally applied coating that is maintained with proper wash methods lasts far longer than a wax or sealant. Ask us about the coating options we offer and their expected durability — exact figures depend on the brand and tier you choose. (TODO: owner to confirm coating brands and durability.)

Is ceramic coating worth it on a new car?

Yes — a new car is the ideal time. Around 95% of new cars arrive with minor paint defects from factory, transport or dealer preparation, so we correct those first, then lock the finish in with a ceramic coating before the car picks up swirl marks from washing.

Does ceramic coating stop stone chips?

No. Ceramic coating adds chemical resistance, UV protection, hydrophobics and gloss, but it is not a substitute for paint protection film against stone chips. If motorway stone chips are your main concern, ask about PPF for the high-impact areas instead — or combine PPF with a ceramic coating on top.

Ceramic coating vs wax vs sealant — what's the difference?

A wax lasts weeks to a few months, a synthetic sealant lasts months, and a professional ceramic coating is a semi-permanent SiO2 layer that bonds to the paint and lasts far longer than either. Ceramic also gives stronger chemical resistance and a deeper, glossier finish.

Can you apply ceramic coating over PPF?

Yes — ceramic coating over PPF is a popular combination. The film handles physical impacts like stone chips while the coating adds hydrophobics, easier washing and extra gloss to the film. (TODO: owner to confirm this combination is offered.)

What preparation is needed before ceramic coating?

Proper preparation is most of the job: a safe wash, iron fallout removal, tar removal and clay treatment to decontaminate the paint, machine polishing to refine the finish, then a panel wipe/IPA wipe-down so the coating bonds directly to clean paint.

How do I look after a ceramic-coated car?

Wash it regularly using the two-bucket method with pH-neutral shampoo, avoid automatic brush car washes, and dry it with clean microfibre towels. The coating makes washing easier — dirt releases with less effort — but harsh chemicals and abrasive washing will still shorten its life.

How much does ceramic coating cost in the UK?

Cost depends on vehicle size, paint condition, how much machine polishing is needed first, and the coating tier you choose. We quote every car individually after seeing it or receiving photos on WhatsApp — message us on 07482 225323 for an accurate figure. (TODO: owner to supply pricing.)

Paint Correction questions

Can swirl marks be removed?

Yes. Swirl marks, spider webbing and wash marring sit in the clear coat and are removed by machine polishing — compounding followed by a finishing polish. What limits correction is clear-coat thickness: we measure it with a paint thickness gauge and never cut more than is safe.

What is the difference between 1-stage and 2-stage paint correction?

A 1-stage (single-stage) correction uses one polishing step to remove light defects and restore gloss — ideal for enhancement. A 2-stage correction adds a heavier cutting stage first for deeper swirls and scratches, then refines the finish. Heavily defected paint may need a third stage.

Does a new car need paint correction?

In most cases, yes. Around 95% of new cars have minor paint defects — holograms from dealer preparation, wash marring from transport, or light scratches from pre-delivery inspection. A new-car correction removes these before protection is applied.

Will paint correction remove deep scratches?

It depends on depth. Scratches confined to the clear coat can usually be levelled; scratches through to the colour coat or primer (RIDS — random isolated deep scratches) may only be improved, not fully removed. We assess this with a test spot and inspection lighting before quoting.

Is paint correction safe for my car's paint?

Yes, when done properly. We measure paint thickness in microns across every panel, work within the safe limits of the clear coat, and use a test spot to confirm the approach. Correction is limited by clear-coat thickness — we will tell you honestly when a defect is too deep to chase safely.

How long does paint correction take?

It varies with vehicle size, paint hardness and defect level — a single-stage enhancement is typically a day's work, while multi-stage correction on a large or badly swirled car takes longer. (TODO: owner to confirm turnaround times.)

Do you offer wet-sanding?

Wet-sanding is only used where it is safe and genuinely needed, for example on isolated deeper defects. (TODO: owner to confirm whether wet-sanding is offered.)

How much does paint correction cost?

It depends on vehicle size, paint condition and how many correction stages are required. We assess every car individually — send photos on WhatsApp (07482 225323) or call 07933 498857 for an accurate quote. (TODO: owner to supply pricing.)

Machine Polishing questions

What is a 1-stage machine polish (paint enhancement)?

A single polishing step using a finishing polish (sometimes a light cutting compound) on a polishing pad. It removes light swirls and wash marring and restores gloss and clarity — a big visual improvement in a single day, without the time and cost of multi-stage correction.

Machine polishing vs paint correction — what's the difference?

Machine polishing is the tool and technique; paint correction is the goal. A 1-stage machine polish enhances gloss and removes light defects, while multi-stage paint correction chases deeper defects for a near-flawless finish. We recommend whichever your paint actually needs.

Will machine polishing remove scratches?

Light scratches and swirls in the clear coat — yes. Deeper scratches that catch your fingernail may need multi-stage correction or may only be improved. We check with a test spot and tell you honestly what to expect.

Is machine polishing good before selling a car?

Yes — a pre-sale polish is one of the best-value things you can do. Removing light swirls and restoring gloss makes the car photograph better and look better cared-for to buyers, which helps it stand out in listings.

Do I need machine polishing before ceramic coating or PPF?

Yes. Both bond best to clean, refined paint, and polishing first means defects are removed rather than locked in under the protection. Our coating and PPF work always includes the appropriate level of machine-polish preparation.

What's the difference between a DA polisher and a rotary polisher?

A dual-action (DA) polisher oscillates as well as rotates, making it safer and ideal for enhancement work. A rotary polisher spins on a single axis and cuts faster, but needs more skill to avoid holograms. We use whichever suits your paint — soft and hard paints behave very differently.

How much does machine polishing cost?

It depends on vehicle size and paint condition. A single-stage enhancement is our most accessible machine-polish service — message us on WhatsApp (07482 225323) with photos for an accurate quote. (TODO: owner to supply pricing.)

Paint Protection Film (PPF) questions

PPF vs ceramic coating — which does my car need?

They do different jobs. PPF is a physical film that protects against stone chips and scratches — nothing else stops chips like it. Ceramic coating adds chemical resistance, UV protection, hydrophobics and gloss, but won't stop chips. For motorway commuters, PPF on the front end plus ceramic over the top is the ultimate combination.

How long does PPF last?

Quality self-healing TPU films are designed to last for years, and most carry a manufacturer film warranty against yellowing, cracking and delamination. Exact warranty terms depend on the film brand fitted. (TODO: owner to confirm PPF brands and warranty years.)

What areas of the car does PPF cover?

Common coverage levels are partial-front (part of the bonnet and bumper), full-front (full bonnet, bumper, wings, mirrors and headlights), track pack (high-impact areas including sills and A-pillars), and full-body. High-impact areas include the bonnet, bumper, wings, mirrors, A-pillars, door edges, sills, door cups and headlights.

Is PPF worth it on a motorway commuter car?

For cars that spend their life on the M6, M62 or M56 around Warrington, yes — the front end takes constant stone-chip damage, and PPF is the only protection that physically stops chips. It also helps protect lease cars against end-of-lease paint charges. (TODO: owner to confirm lease-return positioning.)

Does PPF change how the car looks?

Barely. Gloss film is virtually invisible on gloss paint and actually deepens the shine; satin and matte films can change the finish intentionally. Edges are wrapped where possible so the film disappears into panel gaps.

Can PPF be removed?

Yes — quality film is designed to be removable by a professional without damaging the paint underneath, which is why it's popular on new cars and lease vehicles.

What PPF brands do you fit?

We fit professional-grade self-healing TPU films. (TODO: owner to confirm PPF brands — e.g. XPEL, STEK, SunTek — before this page goes live.)

How much does PPF cost in the UK?

It depends on coverage (partial-front through to full-body), vehicle size and film choice. Full-front is the most popular package. Send photos on WhatsApp (07482 225323) for an accurate quote. (TODO: owner to supply pricing.)
